Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: January 07, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
Canada Prize Board (the “Service”, “Website” or “Platform”) provides online access to licensed lottery products and related information for eligible players in Canada.
By visiting the Website, opening an account or using any feature of the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not accept these Terms, you must not use the Service.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you (“you”, “User”, “Player”) and Canada Prize Board and are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
2. Eligibility and Age Restrictions
Because we operate a regulated lottery platform, access is limited to players who meet specific eligibility criteria:
- Minimum Age: You must be at least 19 years old to create an account or participate in any draw. Play by minors is strictly prohibited.
- Location: At the time of purchase or play you must be physically located within Canada, and not in any province or territory where our offerings are restricted by local law.
- Legal Capacity: You must have the legal capacity to enter into contracts under the laws of your province or territory.
We may ask for proof of age, identity and location at any time. If you are unable or unwilling to provide satisfactory documentation, we may suspend or close your account and void any unverified winnings, subject to applicable law.
3. Account Registration and Security
To use most features of the Service, you must complete the registration process and create a player account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to update it whenever it changes.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree not to share your password with anyone and to notify us promptly if you suspect any unauthorized access or security breach.
Single Account Policy: Each individual may hold only one player account. Multiple accounts, or accounts created to bypass limits, promotions or responsible gaming tools, may be closed and any associated benefits cancelled.
4. Purchases, Deposits, and Payments
All ticket prices, deposits and balances on the Platform are denominated in Canadian Dollars (CAD). When you select entries and confirm a purchase, you authorize us or our payment provider to process the transaction using your chosen payment method.
- Finality of Transactions: Once a lottery entry has been successfully processed and recorded in our system, the purchase is final and cannot be cancelled or refunded.
- Source of Funds: You represent that any funds used to participate are legitimately obtained and are not connected to unlawful activity.
- Payment Methods: We may offer various payment options (for example, major credit cards or Interac e-Transfer). Available methods may be updated or changed from time to time.
5. Game Rules and Draw Procedures
Draw Mechanics and RNG: Canada Prize Board uses certified Random Number Generator (RNG) technology and approved procedures to generate draw outcomes and Quick Pick selections. Our systems are subject to regular checks and audits.
Official Results: The winning numbers and prize allocations are determined exclusively by the central gaming system. If there is any difference between information shown on the Website, emails, or other communications and the data stored in the central system, the central system records will be considered final and binding.
Sales Cut-Off: Ticket sales close at the cut-off time specified on the Website for each draw. Entries received after the cut-off time are automatically assigned to the next eligible draw.
6. Claiming Prizes and Withdrawals
All prizes are subject to verification by Canada Prize Board and may be withheld or cancelled if fraud, technical error, or a breach of these Terms is suspected.
- Smaller Prizes (under $1,000): In most cases, winnings are credited directly to your player account after the draw results are validated.
- Larger Prizes (over $1,000): May require additional identity checks, supporting documentation and completion of a prize claim process before payment is released.
- Jackpot and High-Tier Prizes: May need to be claimed in person at a designated prize centre or through a specific procedure communicated by our support team.
Taxes and Reporting: Lottery winnings are generally not taxable in Canada, but you are responsible for understanding and complying with any reporting obligations that may apply to you.
7. Prohibited User Conduct
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that is consistent with these Terms and any applicable laws and regulations. You must not:
- Use automated tools, scripts or bots to interact with the Website or attempt to gain an unfair advantage.
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to compromise the integrity or security of the Service, including by attempting to bypass technical protections.
- Engage in any activity that could be considered fraudulent, abusive or collusive, including attempts to manipulate draw outcomes or bonus features.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Canada Prize Board, together with its officers, directors, employees and agents, will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Website or that any defects will be corrected immediately.
- We are not responsible for failures caused by your equipment, internet connection, telecommunications providers or any third-party services.
- Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Service will not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the six (6) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
System Malfunctions: In the event of technical faults, misconfigured games or obvious errors, affected plays may be voided and any related payouts cancelled, subject to regulatory requirements.
9. Termination
We may, at our sole discretion and subject to applicable law, suspend, restrict or close your account, and block access to the Service at any time, including (but not limited to) where:
- We reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms or any applicable law;
- We detect fraudulent, abusive or suspicious activity on your account;
- We are required to do so by a regulator or law enforcement authority.
If your account is terminated for cause, any remaining balance may be withheld or forfeited in accordance with legal and regulatory obligations. Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that have already accrued for either party.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update or amend these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, regulatory requirements or business practices.
Where changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to inform you, for example by posting a notice on the Website or sending an email. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms come into effect will be deemed acceptance of those changes.
